Anti-Spam and Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This policy sets out our commitment against the sending of unsolicited electronic messages (spam). In particular, it prohibits the advertising or promotion of the arksc.org website through unsolicited email by us, our staff, our contractors, our affiliates, or any third party acting on our behalf.

Our commitment

We do not send, authorize, or condone unsolicited bulk or commercial email. We do not advertise or promote the arksc.org website, or any of our services, using unsolicited messages of any kind.

Consent and permission

We send email only to recipients who:

  • are existing clients, members, partners, or contacts with whom we have an established business or organisational relationship; or

  • have expressly requested or consented to receive communications from us.

We do not purchase, rent, or use third-party contact lists and we do not send messages to addresses obtained without consent.

Prohibited conduct

The following are prohibited for all staff, contractors, and third parties acting on our behalf:

  • Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial email (spam).

  • Advertising or promoting the arksc.org website via unsolicited messages.

  • Sending email that uses false, forged, or misleading header, sender, or subject information.

  • Harvesting, scraping, or otherwise collecting email addresses without consent.

  • Sending to purchased, rented, or otherwise non-consented mailing lists.

Unsubscribe and preferences

Every commercial or bulk message we send includes a clear and functional method to unsubscribe. We action unsubscribe requests promptly and do not send further such messages to recipients who have opted out.

Legal compliance

We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and applicable Australian laws governing commercial electronic messages, including requirements for consent, accurate sender identification, and a functional unsubscribe facility.

Reporting misuse

If you believe you have received an unsolicited message referencing arksc.org, or that our domain is being misused, please contact us at [abuse@arksc.org] so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
